Falooda Recipe | How To Make Basic Faluda With Ice Cream

Falooda or faluda is a popular Indian summer dessert drink consisting of various elements like milk, ice cream, rose syrup etc. Elements in a falooda are It is layered with many edibles like: Rose syrup  – both homemade rose syrup and store brought rose syrup work well.   Ingredients 2 1/2 c all-purpose flour 2 c sugar 1 Tbsp cocoa powder, unsweetened 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 1 c oil 1 c buttermilk 1 Tbsp white vinegar 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 oz green food coloring (yes! the whole bottle) FROSTING: 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature 1/4 c butter, room temperature 2 tsp pure vanilla extract 1 lb powdered sugar · milk if needed for texture (i seldom need any) Preheat oven to 350 and line your cupcake pans. Whisk eggs in a med bowl and then add remaining wet ingredients (EXCEPT FOOD COLORING), set aside. In your stand mixer put all dry ingredients and mix well. Add food coloring into the wet ingredients, whisk well then slowly add to dry ingredients beating on med for 1 - 2 minutes (do not overbeat your cupcakes will get dense and not be so fluffy).
