It is the local dish par excellence! Based on the principle of sharing, it is concocted with different ingredients according to the desire, the mood and the tastes of the Sri Lankans. Rice is the central element and it is then accompanied by mashed lentils, papadam and various vegetables. Based on shrimps as in the photo or even pork, chicken, fish, eggs and of course the vegan version also exists. All complemented by the chilli puree, always served on the side!
